Sooooooooooooo many good things are happening right now.
First. Devin got her job. She's the assistant to the vice president of human resources... or AssVPHR (pronounced Ass Viper).
And as AssVPHR, she gets to support my non-working, wannabe writer self for as long as I'm not making money. Which after today, hopefully it won't be that long.
I finally broke my story I've been brewing for a while. I did a brief treatment (shock), and jumped from eight pages to twenty pages. It feels like its writing itself at this point. I'm hoping this keeps up and I'll be done with it soon, before I get burned out on it.
Also, we got a package in the mail from my folks with Chex mix. The best Christmas time snack ever. I haven't and won't ever feel bad about eating bacon grease-caked cereal.
We also got some Christmas cash from the grandparents, which is helping out immensely in this economic crisis (yeah I said it).
Also, the cable is still out, so that's helping me be a better writer.
I haven't gotten grades yet, but I'm hoping that will be fixed by tomorrow. Probably won't, but you never know. Anyway. Back to it, I guess.

I've been stuck in my apartment for way too long. I drove Devin to a job interview Wednesday and having left the building since. I've sat in front of my computer trying to write pages is just not keep me motivated. I'm on a whopping page eight.
I'm getting that cringe of a headache behind my eyes that screams eye strain. Sad thing is that I've spent dozens of hours in front of the computer and can't peel myself away from the t.v. or the internet. Even now, I'm writing a blog instead of pages. Jeez.
Our cable's out today, so that's helping. I wrote four pages in about an hour and a half. I figure that's respectable. Anyway... back to it.
No updated about Devin's job yet. Still hopeful.

In the money?
I feel a horrible sense of anticipation and dread and wonderment... makes me feel like I want to throw up.
Devin's waiting to hear about a job. After five months of no income, it would be a welcome addition to our L.A. experience.
Not to mention the ten hours of quiet I'd get every day to write write write...
I've written exactly 0 pages today. Which is four less than yesterday, and forty less than last week. I was under th eimpression that when I had a ton of time on my hands, I'd be in a Malibu beach house in no time. Guess I really do need to put some effort forward.
Nice to see that my production partners include my buddies for like Gittens and Brandie, and my wife's dance partner Shannon-dog. Going to be cool getting to know Dante and Brian, too.
But I'm putting those two on notice... Me + Gittens x Alcohol = o% productivity and 100% hilarity and hurt feelings.
My goal is to hit ten pages by Sunday, but at the manically depressive rate I went today, I don't quite see that happening. But stranger things have happened to me. I DID get into USC...

Procrastination
It's official.
I've gotten so proactive in my procrastination, I've started to write a blog, rather than write my screenplay. And I think that is in no way sad. You may disagree, and you'd probably be right, but I can justify it. At least I'm not drinking.
Here's a quick bit about me:
I'm a West Virginian born and bred. I'm a graduate of West Virginia State University (the Yellow Jackets, not the Mountaineers) and Teays Valley Christian School. I'm a current University of Southern California grad student in the screenwriting program.
I'm 26, married with two dogs, and I'm the former of many things: tennis player, news photojournalist, professional wrestler.
I'm going to use this blog as most people use their blog: as a chance to pretend that people actually read what I have to write, and care about what I have to say. But in reality, I'd be surprised if more than five people visit this site a week....
I'll try to keep updated what's going on with my writing, with my classes, with my personal life.
With that said... I have a feature that's in desperate need of a page two... so I will leave with these words of wisdom....
Smart. Wise. Well-read. Brilliant.
Cheers.
